My 2nd Self Made Talker
I decided to buy itronix Duo-Touch IX325 rugged tablet. High level of specification that can be dropped and even operated in the rain. Fully functioning and working with Windows XP operating system
FULLY-RUGGED RELIABILITY Engineered and built to withstand the harshest field conditions, the MIL-STD 810F rugged Duo-Touch is lightweight and ergonomic. It’s the rugged, weatherized Tablet PC to take to the real world where drops, spills and environmental extremes come with the territory.
ULTRA-VIEWABLE DUAL-TOUCH DISPLAY With a screen you can see in all lighting environments, the Duo-Touch touchscreen display has a difference you can see and touch.
WIRELESS MOBILITY The Duo-Touch II keeps you dependably connected across the spectrum of wireless networks with up to four integrated wireless technologies in the same device. Plus, its convenient size (10.6" x 7.2" x 1.65") so it doesn't block the view when you are driving your wheelchair.
Next thing I needed to buy was an interface to connect my head switch to the laptop.
I decided to buy a joycable interface from Sensory Software. This is a simple connector for 1 or 2 switches to the USB port.

The next step is to mount the tablet on my wheelchair. Medical Physics made a stand to insert the tablet.
